    2. Just got back from 3 fast days in MI. While there I visited Ludington for a short time. The city seesm to be growing in leaps and bounds down along the waterfront with all kinds of new condos going up; however when looking for some tee shirts for the grandkids I discovered that most of the store keepers had the same story...........tourism is way down so far this year and sales are slow. The reason given? Hi gas prices are keeping folks closer to home. Who wudda thunk it?? Oh yes..........I did not have time to stop and visit with all the Luds in MI as usual; but maybe next time. 3. I just had a disappointing conversation with the Putnam Co. Historical Society. The museum is open as promised but the research library is closed at this time. That should re-open in October but guys I have been hearing this same story since last June. As a result I will not be adding that to my list of places to visit but if I get there next year it might be worth the visit because they are going to have a Ludingtonville exhibit. The director does not know too much about that yet but she said it was going to be an educational exhibit with pieces from the old store there!. Let you know what I turn up as soon as I can Mary

    2. Ah, Mildred, I remember those days well, with two little ones stuck in the house all day most days because it was too hot to go outside to play. But, seriously, if you have pictures or documents that you would like to put on the MyFamily site, you don't have to have a digital camera. Just scan what you have and upload it or send it to Rachel or me for us to upload. If you don't have a scanner, just copy it and send it to one of us through the mail. We will scan it and upload it for you. There is a great deal of data there already. But we are always looking for more Lud material. Let us know if we can help. Take care, Elaine
