She enjoyed being with her family, friends and loving pets. She found joy in crocheting, gardening and cooking. We will always hold her close in our hearts. She will be truly missed.     3. SYLVESTER HITCHCOCK, son of Capt. Jacob and Anna (Ludington) Hitchcock, was born Aug. 7, 1803. He married, Oct. 4, 1826, Lorinda Blakeslie, born May 27, 1805. He was killed March 17, 1867, either by one of his horses or by a fall on the stable stairs. He lived an hour unable to tell how he received the fatal hurt.     3. The History of Delaware County W.W. MUNSELL 1797-1880 WILLIAM T. LUDINGTON is a son of Samuel, grandson of Harry, and great-grandson of Samuel Ludington.. The last two came from Ludingtonville, Putman county, N. Y., about 1800, and settled in Bovina. The great-grand-father had served in the Revolutionary war with several brothers, one of whom, Tertullus Ludington, was a colonel, and at one time on Washington's staff. William T. Ludington, farmer and author, was born July 3d, 1844, in Andes. He served over three years in the Union army; as a private in the 8th independent battery, on detached service in 1863, and as provost marshal's chief clerk in 1864.     3. This guy has his facts kinda mixed up as he has Tertullus listed as Col Henry. Tertullus was a son of Col Henry. Samuel, the g/grandfather, was a bro to col Henry and he too served in the Rev War. Wm T had no children so the line died out with him.
