    2. Paul Luddington
    3. Hi All I have just uploaded a file, U.K. Electoral registers 2002-2014. It gives al those who are eligible to vote, (18 or over, and who has registered), in the U.K. I have tried to put all found into lines, I have managed to find most, but still have a few to go. The interesting thing here is that there are only 4 lines,3 really as James B and Plud I know are one, Cam Lud 1, and Tom Glenford. There is another Kenneth F Ludd, but I am sure it is part of Tom Glenford line?(only a couple of generations in it). So at the moment, we can say there are only 3 lines. And I am sure the cam lud line is part of one of the others, as it appears in the county in the early 1700s from elsewhere?

    2. Thank you, Paul! We had a beautiful, sunny, 65o day, here in Cheyenne Wyoming, where the wind doth blow!! We ate baked ham, scalloped potatoes, corn & broccoli, rolls, & apple pie! A little too heavy on the carbs, so we napped in the afternoon. Thank you for the continuing genealogy work that you do. 3. Paul et al........Sorry about the cold weather over there. Toasty here in FL but then that's why we r here. That article U sent on Asua Luddington from Kentucky, and his marriage to a Hughes girl was interesting. His name in my records is Asa Ludington , b in Dutchess Co NY in 1742. His Dad was  Elisha Ludington the father of Abigail who married her cousin Henry Ludington, father of Sybil the rider. Both Henry, Asa, and Asa's bro, Comfort, served in the 7 Years War, (also called the French and Indian War ). Asa was only 17 or so at the time. After their service Asa moved on to better things. He moved down to Virginia Territory and was arrested and jailed for buying land in the Wyoming area of Ohio. Some land baiters had sold Asa land they did not own. After that episode he moved to VA (later WV) and settled down where he is mentioned in the local history many times. He must have tired of his episodes there so he moved off to KT where he married and disappeared  That letter mentioned was dated in 1802 and he would have been about 60 years old then. His history in WV shows he had family there but was not involved in any Rev War skirmishes. And so another interesting Lud moves on in our family history. 3. Hi Paul in frosty London !!Too bad about the cold weather. That's why I am in FL. Got down to 76 last nite and we had to have the ac on to drop the humidity a bit. Still working away on the 1940 census. Cannot seem to get any interest on gen studies lately. Seems since I cannot find my own g/g/grandfather's ancestry I seem to have gotten discouraged. Seth and his supposed Dad, Lemuel Ludington, and Mom, Patience Gurnsey, just don't seem to have left any records behind. I cannot find when or where they got married, who the parents were, any siblings mentioned, etc. How do people just get lost like that ?? Of course they exissted during the mid 1700's in NY and CT so the records were English, not American, then and may well be located in the archives in London...........or NOT at all ?? Look for my Lemuel Ludington in the 1790 census in Albany co NY. Nothing on him before or after that date ? There is a L Ludington shown in later records but is that Lemuel ? Ron Ludington

    3. Francis H Ludington died at his home near NYC on Jan. 14, 2017. He was born in St Louis MO on 24 Feb 1923.I had the pleasure of his company twice over the last few years and he was a great fellow to chat with on any subject. We searched and searched for his family connection but could not find the proven connection. Much like my own line it lead back to upstate NY or in his case western MA. But Y-DNA test have shown that we both connect back to William of 1607, the first Ludington in America. My best wishes to the family...............He will be missed !!  Ron Ludington

If there were any Ludd/Luds found, I have put them into files etc. If anyone thinks there should be someone in one of the sources, but can`t find them let me know and I will try another search. Paul

    2. Dear Paul, I am somewhat confused about what was this huge job of entering! You took your information from "the United States family Historys". I'm not sure what that is.
