I am researching my great grandfather James H. Lucas, and his family. James was a photographer in ST. Paul MN. in the late 1880's. His father's name (I believe) was Charles. James and his family, wife Jennie (Tompkins) daughters, Laura, Ethel, & Hattie (my grandmother) moved to Brooklyn NY in the early 1890's. I am trying to get any information regarding their life in MN. (I am told he was a photographer on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation at one time) and or, their life in NY.
