Children were: Cornelius Abraham John Elizabeth Nancy I am descended from Elizabeth who first married Lawrence Jewell in Mercer County, KY and next (my ancestor) James McMurtry 8 April 1800 in Mercer County, Kentucky. Their son, William McMURTRY was born 20 February 1801 in Mercer County, KY. William married Ruth CHAMPION (daughter of John CHAMPION and Mary "Polly" CANNON) 23 November 1826 in Crawford County, Indiana. They eventually migrated to Henderson, Knox County, Illinois. Their son, Francis Marion McMURTRY was born there 15 November 1831 and married Elizabeth PITMAN 13 October 1851 in Galesburg, Knox Co., Illinois.
