Looking for the origin of the Gibson County, IN Lucases who came to IN before 1820. They appear to have come from VA, but uncertain as to which part. The given names of the Gibson County Lucases were Zachariah, Fielding, Francis, and Oliver. A Fielding, Zachariah, and Francis Lucas appear at the same time in the Spotsylvania County, VA census. This grouping of names seems to suggest that the two families are related. Is anyone familiar with either the Gibson County or Spotsylvania County Lucas families?? Thanks, Craig J. Woods
