Eric, Thank you for the information on Amanda Lucas of Ohio (my greatgrandmother). I only learned her name two months ago. Not one of my aunts knew the names of any of their grandparents. I am astounded and very grateful that there are people out there who take the time to help others. I intend to find a copy of Kemp's book and check with the Ross Co., Ohio Probate Court people again. I am new to digging and this is just so much fun! I think the Amanda Lucas in Kemp's book must be related but can't be my ggm because mine had her children from 1869-1886. You have given me somewhere else to go. Thanks also for the Gov. Lucas information. Maybe I can adopt them. :) Kelly Kessler
