Eric, Came through ok. Very interesting and I too would like to graft the Gov. onto my tree. But alas, due to some destroyed records, my tree goes back only to Ira Lucas, b1774 in ? and married Lucretia Hartwig "of Vermont" who also was born abt 1774. They moved to western NY where they raised a family of three sons and seven daughters. There was an old family story relating to Ohio. Someone (an older brother of Ira?) was captured by Indians when fairly young and subsequently taken to Ohio. After several years when trust had been earned, he one day mounted his pony and rode east, eventually finding his family again. But then maybe many families have such a "story."
