Hello list! I am looking for ancestors and relatives of Jon LUKACS. Jon (1885-1962) was the first generation in the U.S. and changed the spelling of his name to LUCAS. Jon married Mary MATUSKA (1895-1957) also from Austria- Hungary. Jon and Mary lived in Mingo Jct., Ohio (Jefferson County) and were my paternal grandparents. They had six children: John, Mary, Andrew, George, Joseph, and Thomas. I don't know if anyone can help -- given the limited number of generations in the U.S. and the relatively recent spelling change; but I'm throwing this out just in case there is another "lurking LUCAS" from my line. I know that there were other LUKACS/LUCAS cousins who also came over from eastern Europe. If you're out there, please reply. PEACE!!! --Tom
