Surely someone out there is connected to this Lucas family: Eber Lucas (b. LaPorte Co., Indiana, October 28, 1825 - d. Kirkland, DeKalb Co., Illinois, February 10, 1905) m. (1) Fidelia F. Newton (July 30, 1848, Belvidere, Illinois) m. (2) Lois E. Buckman (June 12, 1855, Franklin, DeKalb Co., Illinois) Among his children of his first marriage was Riley Edward Lucas (b. 1855, d. ? in Illinois). Among the children of Lois Buckman's first marriage was Philette Mariah Buckman. Eber's son, Riley Edward, married Lois's daughter, Philette Mariah, and they had 2 sons and 3 daughters (or perhaps more). At any rate, Eber and his first wife had ca 11 kids; Lois and her first husband had ca 9 kids; Eber and Lois married and they had 5 more kids.
