Supposedly someone from the Vancouver Branch of UELAC had it PROVEN . This same Vancouver Branch UELAC has apparently misplaced the records of this , as apparently the National UELAC has as well . Curiouser and curiouser . This same John Duldreggan Grant had remained in Scotland with his 9 children into year 1785 when he and 8 of his children [no wife] boarded Ship [ship's name in dispute] and destination Glengarry Canada . By deceit or misadventure the Ship put in at New York , where they overwintered , and they came overland to Glengarry in 1786 . This John Duldreggan Grant never took up land or settled in the American Colonies prior to the Rev War ending in 1783 . How does this make him a Loyalist ! He married a Mary McIntyre in Montreal and had 8 more! kids with her , yet I have not seen any Land Petitions from any of his 16 children as s/d of a UE . Why can't UELAC furnish their PROOF !!!
