I also located a land petition for his son Simon DeForest 1904, Toronto. With these source records other people may be able to document their Loyalist linage to apply for a United Empire Loyalist Certificate. You need to have proof documentation all the way to yourself to apply for a certificate and you have to join the United Empire Loyalist Association.
