Simon Fraser Sr was not a Captain to our knowledge. He could not be in Glengarry Fencibles in Scotland as they were formed in the early 1790's years after he died in Albany NY. We have read somewhere that he was a recruiter for the British but not with any military regiment. Captain Simon Fraser quoted as with the Glengarry Fencibles was a grand nephew of Simon Fraser married to Isabella Grant, Duldreggan.
