Loy, age 80 of Plain City, died Wednesday, December 13, 2000 at Memorial Hospital of Union County ER after an illness of two months. Member of the US Army 1st Cavalry Division during WW II. Active in the Plain City Little League 1961-1979 and was inducted into the Plain City Little League Hall of Fame, played music and called square dances in the central Ohio area for many years. Preceded in death by parents Nimrod & Effie (Clark) Loy, brother George W. Loy, 1998, Frances O. Loy, 1980, Survived by children: Florence "Marti" Loy of Plain City, Roger (Janet) Loy of Hilliard, Scott (Midge) Loy of Mechanicsburg, grandchildren: Amy (William) Wood, Rebecca Loy, P.J. George, Erica (Tracy Stewart ) Loy, David Loy, Sarah Loy, great-grandchildren: Marcus Wood, Mardria Stewart, Sabrina Wood, brothers: Calvin (Fleeda) Loy of Plain City, Floyd (Virginia) Loy of Zanesville, sister: Irene Harriman of Obetz, Ruth (Bob) Hayes of Ostrander, loved by many nieces and nephews. Funeral 10:00a.m. Saturday December 16, 2000 FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 202 E. Main St. (St. Rte. 161W) Plain City, where the family will receive friends 2-4 & 7-9p.m. Friday.
