From: "Terry Spear" <tspear@flash.net> on CRAMER-L@rootsweb.com said: Subject: WWI Expeditionary Forces...Canadian Cramers On the Archivia Net in Canada at: http://www.archives.ca/index.html They have a list of the Cramers under WWI expeditionary forces...with their attestation papers....great if you don't know the Cramers' first name...lists often times one of parent's name as next of kin...found 4 of my Cramers on the site as they were all from Baldur, Manitoba and parent's names matched with the ones I had.... (Indexes have people of all last names but scanned images only up to D) only uploaded (attestation doc files) up through the letter C however, so though my Grandfather Welsh is on there... there are no attestation papers on him.... happy hunting! Terry === Over 600,000 Canadians enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) during the First World War (1914-1918). The CEF database is an index to those personnel files, which are held by the National Archives. To date, over 250,000 images of Attestation papers have been scanned and are being made available on-line.
