    2. THIS CAME TO ME FROM ANOTHER LIST AND IT MAY BE WORTH YOUR TIME TO CHECK IT OUT I ONLY PUT IN THE SURNAME AND MANY MANY NAMES AND BIRTHDAYS CAME UP Angela One of my friends attended a fraud presentation by our FRAUD department at ***** Recently this friend was a victim of identity theft. While she was in this presentation, the instructor told her about a web site criminals use to obtain information about you. The website is www.anybirthday.com This web site has your name, zip code and birthday. Your birth date is a helpful tool for criminals to steal your identity. I pulled up my name and it had my full name, correct birth date, gender and zip code. I was able to delete this information from the website by clicking on the FAQ section, then click on the privacy section. I recommend that you go to this site and DELETE your information from their data base. Remember to check ALL versions of your name .. Check your nickname, maiden and your given name. Also, if you pull your listing, make sure to put in the date the same way that they do."

    3. I checked out the site, Angela, and was just as surprised of all the names that came up. It would be interesting to know how they get the information, as I only go by my first name with family. In business, school, mail order, etc. I go by Rochelle, so the only thing I can think of is the DMV records, where I do have both names on file. Some time back, when I was a novice to the internet, I put my birthday in a website, but it never asked for the year, just the day and month. I would advise anyone who would try to use this database for family records to take all the info with a grain of salt. I checked out a friend's birth date, who was born in 1958, and he was listed as born in 1950! I had found him in the Rootsweb CA birth database (before it was removed!) and it had the year correct there. Also, I found my nephew's age correct in it, but my brother has a wrong birth month. So, it's hard to say how many records are correct and how many are wrong, unless you know the info already.
