Fountaine (aged 70), with no wife, 1860 Census, Somerset County MD. (I "think" these two may be brothers). My theory ... William was "counted and listed" on 1 June in Ohio. He may NOT have been in the household on that date, but was, instead, visiting the household of John. Or he may have been in Ohio on 1 June, and traveled to Maryland, w/o his wife, and been counted again on 22 June 1860. What 'cha think?
