George, Yes, Abigail Adkins m Henry Holloway of James and Tabitha. And, Hannah Holloway of Joseph was Stanton Adkin's mother. You have this info in your file--thanks for including; I am sure I will find your sources useful. Have you done any research on Tabitha's parents? Bessie Holloway cites 2 deeds that back up her claim that Tabitha's fa was John Franklin, although it was not John Sr. as she stated because we have his will and his Tabitha was Riley in 1810. These 2 deeds are on MdLandRecords--AU f52-55 for Cypress Adventure, 50Acres, 8 Jul 1828 sold by James and wife Tabitha to Joshua Hudson. Tract was next to Bridell's Choice but did not include that tract as Bessie states on p327 of her book. The other deed is AU f326-328 for Spences Lott (Beach and Marsh) or "whatever name it has been called" sold on 13 Feb 1829. James d 1830 (WOR Will). James & presumably Tabitha were m c1780 as there are 2 in his hh in the 1780 Tax List. In1800 Wor census James & wife are 26-44 [b1756-1774]. I est. he was b c1756 and she 10 yrs later. First child Nancy was b c1781, she is16-25 [b1775-1784]; James Holloway did not come by Purnell's Purchase & North Benefit from wife Tabitha; he bought from Thomas Franklin and wife Charlotte Atkinson in 1801 although the Atkinson daus kept selling the land from their grandfa Thomas Purnell to one another and their serial spouses so perhaps there was a family connection with Thomas Franklin. I've toyed with the idea that Tabitha may have been *granddau *of John Franklin Sr. because she was dau of his dau Tabitha Riley who recieved 50 acres of swamp and beach in his 1810 LWT. If that is the case, both deeds cite the wrong relationship. There were 4 John Franklins in WOR Bogerternorton Hd. in 1800: John Sr. 45+[bef 1755], John Jr. [b1756-1774], John "of Mo" which I think is Jn with the "o" sign for abbrev. [b1775-1784], and a plain John, also 45+. By 1810 there was only 1--45+[bef 1765]. Tabitha Franklin m James Holloway could have been of the plain John. Interested in thoughts of all on info above.
