I'm trying to trace the children of James NUTTER (c1805-1852), who married Eliza Ann Richardson (c1815-) in 1832. They lived around St Johnstown northeast of Bridgeville. They had children: Charles J, John N, William (H), Clement, Zebedee, Caleb Wesley, Moses, Anna Matilda, David J, and Mary Ellen. Doing fairly well with Clement, Caleb Wesley, Anna Matilda and David J. I believe John and Clement are buried in Chesterfiled Cem in Centreville MD. I also believe these two fought on different sides in the Civil War. I would appreciate hearing from anyone working on this line. Thank you. Hello Jim, I am interested in your NUTTER query and believe they are distant relatives of mine. I believe that James NUTTER may have been a cousin to my John C. SORDEN who was the son of: Mary NUTTER,widow POLK and later SORDEN of near Bridgeville & Greenwood, DE I found most of the names that you mentioned in the book of "Bridgeville" A community History of the Nineteen Century.
