Clare, Did you try the DAR records? You can have them search for free with their Patriot Index Lookup Service. DAR will not accept SAR applications, but the information on the SAR application should give you directions, in which to look for your documentation. Also contact a local DAR Chapter where you live, google DAR.org do not click on the members but on one that suits what you are looking for. Each DAR Chapter has a Registrar who will help you with your application. You must get into DAR through a Chapter and their Registrar. Inquire through your local DAR Chapter about becoming a member.
