    1. [LDR] Captains and crews of the 3-masted schooner rams of Bethel, Delaware
    2. Between 1889 and 1911 twenty-one 3-masted schooner rams (or "Bethel Rams") were built in Bethel (named "Lewisville" until 1880). The history of these rams is contained in the excellent 1961 book "Sailing Rams" by James E. Marvil, M.D. Over the next year, I plan to do further research on what happened to these ships, only one of which is known to have survived. If anyone in this group is descended from a captain or crew member of a Bethel Ram and/or has any photos, stories, or other information to share, I'd appreciate your emailing me at ARHgenealogy@aol.com Many thanks! 3. Dear Andrew, I am not descended from an owner or captain of the Bethel Ram ships but there are many web sites mentioning these ships. One interesting site is http://www.bayjournal.com/article/chesapeakes_last_ram_schooner_still_has_loads_of_tales_to_tell. Good luck on your search. With love in Christ, George D.
