    1. [LDR] finding a land grant in Maryland
    2. Ok, I'm stumped. I've been trying to work my way through the Maryland Land records online and still cannot find a particular land grant. Per the Deed that I transcribed, this particular piece, called Parish, was 100 acres, grant date of March 2, 1730 to a Thomas Waller of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland. It also states in the Deed that this grant is found in Land Office Liber PL N 8 folio 137. I tried to enter that into the Maryland Land records and got zilch. Tried the PL 8 in the unpatented listing in Maryland Land records and still nothing. I'd like get my hands on this but I think I'm having a bad case of operator error. Or is this a case of having to go to the Maryland Archives (cringe) and gain a copy there? I would greatly appreciate any thoughts, knowledge, assistance with this dilemma. Teresa A. 2. I've been trying to work my way through the Maryland Land records online and still cannot find a particular land grant. Good luck! A few times AT the MD Archives I have not been successful finding a deed. The very helpful counter person I consulted also was not successful at first, but after playing with the numbers found the deed I was seeking. I think it all depends on the inputter who had a great new idea for entering the data. So, try the letters and numbers assoc/w the record in various permutations. Best wishes, Ray Terry -----Original Message----- From: tarantulac <tarantulac@aol.com> To: lower-delmarva-roots <lower-delmarva-roots@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tue, Jul 10, 2012 7:41 pm Subject: [LDR] finding a land grant in Maryland Ok, I'm stumped.
