    2. Yes, that is the same family. Col. John appears to have been the first in the area. I'm not sure who that Tabitha was. Capt. Edward Franklin married Tabitha Peale, and they had at least one granddaughter Tabitha, but she was probably too youg to marry in 1773. (Also, I have her married to a Riley based on her father John's 1810 will.) It's not Capt. Edward's widow, because he did not die until 1782. Perhaps Capt. Edward had a daughter Tabitha who married James Holloway but was not mentioned in Capt. Edward's 1778 will for some reason.
