    3. I have just the source for you! Imagine if you could find one deed that laid out five generations of a family. Well now you have: http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj264/garymaher/johnfranklindeed.jpg This 1808 deed states that John Sr.'s father was Edward, that his father was Ebenezar and HIS father was John.     3. Yes, Excellent! and very rare. Thank you. Now, in 1790 Wor census there were 2 John Franklins: Sr and Jr. In 1800 there were 3 John Franklins: Sr., Jr., and one with no suffix. Sr. d bet June/Jul in 1810, his son John (who may or may not have been Jr.) must have predec'd him because it is son John's children who are mentioned in Sr.'s Will.
