Hello everyone, I've subscribed to this list for quite a while, but have never posted. I was hoping that someone might have some information to shed some light on my genealogical mystery. I'm am looking for information on the connection and origin of the following Ellises who lived in Wicomico Hundred, Somerset County, Maryland: Edward Ellis b. abt 1710 Francis Ellis b. abt 1712 Joseph Ellis b. abt 1718 d. 1785 ( married Esther -- I have information about him, I am looking for a possible connection to these other men) John Ellis b. abt 1718 William Ellis b. abt 1720 I believe that these men are connected because they are all listed, at one time or another, as dependents in the household of Charles Hill in the SOMERSET COUNTY COURT (Tax List) 1723-1759. Birth dates above are estimations based on when they first appeared on the tax lists, which would have been 15 years of age.
