    2. Paula Furick
    3. Hello - Was there a town of Christiana in some county of Delaware, as opposed to Christiana Hundred? This would have been in the 1750-1800 time frame. . I have an acquaintance who is insistent that there was such a town,( and her ancestor lived there) but I am unsure. Thank you, Paula

    3. Yes, indeed, there was and is a town of Christiana DE. It's just below I-95 about midway between Newark and Wilmington. That's New Castle County. I lived there for two years. Quite a bit of history because it was on the route from Baltimore to Philadelphia, more or less. 3. There was and is. Both are in New Castle County. The Hundreds are not governmental entities but are hold overs from the colonial period. They now only really appear in real estate documents and as locators as divisions of the 3 counties. The town of Christians is a town.
