Carol, The only clue I can offer is that there is a Hester Ann Marvel born 1849 in Indiana. She was the daughter of Robert Marvel, born abt. 1809 in Delaware, died 1889 in Hendricks Co., IN. He was married 1827 in Muskingum, Ohio to Sarah Wilkins. Some researchers have this Robert as the son of Robert Marvel and Rachel Chase. I have him floating unattached for now.
