Clare, I have no problem doing the look-ups, I'm always hopeful of helping others track down their brick walls, even though the books I purchase never seem to help me. Oh well, that's the way the Christmas cookie crumbles. In the marriage abstracts book, there is John Ball and Mary Rainey, 06-01-1747, and Thoams Ball and Mable Dawson, 04-06-1741. Listed in the Index to Wills are: John Ball (liber/folio) 31-289, date 1761, and Thomas Ball , felt maker, (liber/folio) 18-29, date 1722. Unfortunately neither of these or any other Balls are listed in the will abstract book I have.
