Clara, Your reply was very interesting, however, I can see that he is not the person that I was looking for. It must have been a Roger RICHARDSON (if my earlier sources were correct). Thank you for our reply and hopefully it will help someone else with their research. War" Nottingham's book states "Christopher Ball, John Ball, Samuel Ball, Levi Ball, William Ball and Elizabeth Richardson are the only heirs at law of James Ball and Seger Ball who were soldiers in the Virginia Continental Line in the Rev. War." > Levi Ball's inventory and sale of his property lists a Ralph Richardson as purchasing many items. No other Richardson is listed. Based on all this info., I am guessing that Elizabeth (Ball) Richardson was the wife of Ralph Richardson. I say that was because Levi Ball died intestate Aug. 8, 1807 and his probate lists John, Samuel, Levi as giving administration to brother Christopher and Elizabeth Ball, widow of Levi Ball also gives administration to Christopher Ball. According to the record that I fund in a book, Levi's son William is not listed nor is his dau. Elizabeth so they could be dec'd or the book is wrong. > I am attempting to find the name of Levi, (Sr.)'s children's mother. I know that after Aug. 1788 in Worcester Co., MD, Levi married Elizabeth Mills, widow of Robert Mills. According to the dates, I don't think she was the mother of these 6 children. Since I have had no luck going through the front door, I am attempting to go through the side door by finding info for Ralph and/or Elizabeth (Ball) Richardson. > I know in 1800 Levi Ball lived in Pitts Creek Hundred, Worcester, MD and his neighbors were Gillett Mills, (son of Levi's wife Elizabeth from former marriage), Benjamin Davis, John Parker, Johannes Watson, Wm Aydolott, John Payne, Thomas Taylor and John Selby. > I hope I have explained this clearly. Thanks so very much for responding. > Clare > > > -- "Michelle Burris Kenerly" <bluejeans@ec.rr.com> wrote: > Clare, > Did he have a son named Roger or Ralph RICHARDSON who later had an > Indian daughter whom he raised as his own?
