I have been working on the Col. John Wise Sr. & Hannah Scarburgh family and question whether the following is correct. Is it possible that a generation is missing or the wrong birth dates are being given for the children? I have been comparing the information that I found in the Miles Files. The dates differ from what I have from other researchers including that which Robert Cooper Moor sent to GHOTES. Some other sources agree with the Miles files. John "Johannes" Wise the Younger was born in circa 1658. His son, Joseph, was born circa 1732. That means that the father was about 74 years old at the time his son was born. Drummond is born at about the same time (c. 1700) as the marriage of John "Johannes" and Frances Parker. The next child, George Wise, is born 18 years (circa 1718) later.? One researcher gave the birth date for Ezekiel as 1685, Dorman and the Miles files gives it as circa 1728, Joseph 1689 vs. 1732, Drummond 1692 vs. c. 1700, etc. John "Johannes" Wise II married Fnu Parker. Is it possible that generations are being mixed up? Eva (Mrs. Dana West Ruben)
