Could Griffith Branch be the modern Griffith Lake? This is located on the Sussex/Kent County line South west of Milford. Just south of Griffith Lake is a Johnson Branch. It is in my records with a transfer of a land tract called "Forked Neck" from Christopher and Sarah Newton to James Smith in 1755. That tract is described as on the "north side of the easternmost prong of Gladstone Branch that makes out of the North East Fork" of the Nanticoke.
