Hi Carol, In your Griffith line, do you have a James GRIFFITH who married Elizabeth DEHORTY? 09 Sept 1828? I know Elizabeth's family had land near? the MD/DE border near Whitleysburg. My latest find is a Sussex? orphan court document that sets off the dower lands for Sarah Griffith widow of Charles Griffith and it shows a drawing of the land bordering on the "N. E. fork of the Nanticoke called Miry Branch"? I believe it is probably north of Bridgeville? perhaps between Greenwood and the Kent- Sussex border but I have combed the DataMIL map and can't find it.? Is it on anyone's radar ??? My second question is about the Nanticoke, in Delaware it appears north of Bridgeville all the way to the Kent - Sussex border? as "Nanticoke River" but below that closer to Seaford that continuous? body of water has no name -? then it reappears as the Nanticoke near the Md. border ........Why ???
