In my attempts to locate the Willeys and the Griffiths I keep finding different names and locations for the Nanticoke River. My latest find is a Sussex orphan court document that sets off the dower lands for Sarah Griffith widow of Charles Griffith and it shows a drawing of the land bordering on the "N. E. fork of the Nanticoke called Miry Branch" I believe it is probably north of Bridgeville perhaps between Greenwood and the Kent- Sussex border but I have combed the DataMIL map and can't find it. Is it on anyone's radar ??? My second question is about the Nanticoke, in Delaware it appears north of Bridgeville all the way to the Kent - Sussex border as "Nanticoke River" but below that closer to Seaford that continuous body of water has no name - then it reappears as the Nanticoke near the Md. border ........Why ???
