Does anyone have the book "Cemetery Records of Worcester County, MD" by Ruth Dryden. I am looking for the cemetery records of St. Martin's Church near Showell, MD. Specifically, I'm looking for Tubbs, Farwell (Farewell), and Freeman. Thanks, Jeanne
Jeanne, There are no people with the names of Tubbs nor Farwell (Farewell) listed. Sorry. There are two Freeman's. They are: Freeman, Isaac J. - b. 6 Oct. 1840 d. 7 Sept. 1917 Freeman, Nancy C. - b. 5 Apr 1841 d. 30 Oct. 1920 They are buried in Evergreen Cemetery; (one mile southeast of Berlin, MD). None of these names are listed in Cemetery Records of Somerset County, Maryland. Hope this helps. Good luck. Jeanne, I was just looking at the St. Martin's Register for something else and noticed a couple of Freeman's. They are not death records. Moses Freeman in 1761 was a part owner of pew # 9 at the new St. Martin's Church. Michael Freeman in 1758 was part owner of pew # 20 at the new Prince George's Chapel at Dagsboro (this was a chapel of ease built by St Martin's. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeanne Barkley" <jebarkley@comcast.net> To: <lower-delmarva-roots@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 03, 2008 9:48 PM Subject: [LDR] Cemetery Records of Worcester County, MD > Does anyone have the book "Cemetery Records of Worcester County, MD" by > Ruth Dryden.
