    3. I just read the message telling about going to the archives in Del. to look up marriage records. If the card catalog says return, it means the minister who married the couple "returned" a list of those he had married over a period of time. Orphans court records means you need to request the  orphan court record and it will probably make reference to the woman and say "married to" or "wife of" , Wills are the same way, often mentioning a daughter followed by "wife of". Sound Church in Williamsville, Sussex County, Baltimore Hundred has marriage records on line, I believe it is on rootsweb. Bible records can either be in a file you must request or in the published volumes that are on the shelves in the Archives. hope this is helpful. beverly

    3. I may have mentioned this on this list before: While, as far as I know, the records from the Sound Church are accurate as to people and dates, they are not all marriages that took place in the Sound Church. Some marriages at other Methodist Churches in the area are included , probably as a result of a list from a minister who, over time, served Sound as well as other churches in the area. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Beverly Wilson" <perigal20@yahoo.com> To: <LOWER-DELMARVA-ROOTS@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2008 11:19 AM Subject: [LDR] Del.
