The Snow Hill Messenger, November 1833, reported a sheriff's sale, stemming from a lawsuit between Joseph C. FOOKES and David & Jesse BROWN. Two tracts, Mills Supply and Safe Guard, as well as the adjacent farm of William DIXON, were involved. The legal notice is brief and I can't sort out the details. Does anyone know of an online or print source for additional information about civil suits in this period?? Thanks. Elaine
Ok, I'm a late comer and is Snow Hill an old town and was it the court house of a county?
