    3. Folks: After several years of dithering, I'm taking the plunge to buy deed mapping software for Greater Bridgeville. (What can I say, this is what happens after you meet John Lyon!) Before I reinvent the wheel, has anyone: - Already mapped the Upper Nanticoke watershed for "old" Dorchester Co tracts? - Created a creek and branch gazetteer for this area? After I've spent a decade or so mapping the Nanticoke forks region to the west of the NE fork, I'm going to try to overlay corresponding Sussex warrants and surveys. That should take care of my 60s and 70s!! Any mapping counsel anyone wants to offer is most welcome. Jim Moore Out of his mind in Wilmington

    3. Hope you have made reservations in a good nursing home with a mapping room ........ I have just spent the last month transcribing a few of the Griffith and Willey patents and deeds in the area of Dorchester that borders on the NE fork of the Nanticoke and all I can say is I have never seen such weird shaped pieces of property .......maybe because I come from Ohio where things were often laid out in neat grids I have illusions about property lines .......but some of the drawings are amazing and transcribing the perches, and degrees will take you on a merry chase ...........so here's to the rest of your life, you will never want for something to do on a rainy day and we all applaud you Carol -------------------------------------------------- From: "Jim Moore" <moorejl@gmail.com> Sent: Friday, September 26, 2008 2:47 PM To: "DE Gen list" <Lower-Delmarva-Roots-L@rootsweb.com> Subject: [LDR] Marshyhope Gazetteer > Folks: After several years of dithering, I'm taking the plunge to buy > deed > mapping software for Greater Bridgeville.
