Dave (and others): I too have a link to the Benston line, but apparently while they were in Accomack County. I have a citation from Acccomack Co Va Court Orders in 1718, for a Grace, William and Francis Benston...especially one which states that Francis was the grandfather of the orphan child on my Michael NEDON (spelled also in another citation as NEDHAM), the modern version being NEEDHAM. My Needham line migrated after 1750's into Sussex County. For a while during my research, I traced the Francis Benston line back in time, but not forward. See any common connection with the Needham line? Willing to share notes.
