    3. Hi, In looking at older year(late 1600s) records Accomack Co., VA I noted they referred to Sussex County, Pennsylvania. Also I did see on record with spelled Pennsylvania something like Pennselve(Penn self?) Since I've heard early records could be in the Pennsylvania records how or what books might contain these records??? Is there a book "How to do research in the early, early years of Sussex County, DE"? Mary in Alabama

    3. Mary, You would want to check the Pennsylvania Archives. See: PA Arch 2nd ser Vol V http://books.google.com/books?id=skAOAAAAIAAJ& PA Arch 2nd ser Vol VII http://books.google.com/books?id=xnIFAAAAQAAJ& These are searchable by surname, but you might need to exercise "creative misspelling." Also check _The Breviate_ in the Penna Archives. I don't remember which volume that is in, but also found in Google books, I believe --if not, in footnote.com. The Breviate consists of testimony given in about 1736, concerning boundary disputes between the Penn colony and other states. Testators here relate their recollections or knowledge concerningvents in PA and Delaware that took place 50 years before this date, or earlier. Often, elderly people give their birth dates, name their parents, identify place-names and so forth. Good luck, Liz J 2008/9/21 Mary <mydesire@gulftel.com>: > Hi, In looking at older year(late 1600s) records Accomack Co., VA I noted > they referred to Sussex County, Pennsylvania.
