Carole, I am researching Watson's in Cedar Creek Hundred. My Gr Gr Grandfather Daniel Watson, b. 8/27/1830 , d. 2/26/1914, m. Julia Ann Warren 11/28/1855. They had children; William T.; Mary E.; Sarah E.; Daniel R.; George F.; Burton; Jennie; Charles; Samuel; Joseph; John H.; Lydia; Frank and Annie. Daniel is listed in Cedar Creek Hundred in the 1850 census with his Mother Mary 44; sister Mary E. 28; brothers William 24 and Thomas 21. According to his death certificate, Daniel's parents are listed as Mary Clifton and William Watson. I have data on Julia Ann Warren's family but nothing furthur on William Watson or Mary Clifton. Any light you can shed on them would be appreciated. Jack W. Hi Jack, There appear to be many William Watson's in Cedar Creek Hundred (it makes my head hurt!!!) I've gone thru all of my Wm Watson's to see if anything would fit the time frame, but can't find anything that gets close to your particular Watson line. I'm sure there's a connection - I just don't have enough data in my tree to connect it. There's probably a common ancestor we share further back in the line. Do you happen to have any Townsends or Manloves going backwards anywhere? If you do, that might help with a connection.
