Hello Jack and Freda, My great grandmother was a Noble, I do not have a lot on them, just a few census, marriage records, etc. My paternal grandmother was raised by her grandparents, George F. and Martha Wroten Noble. So there is a little family history. I have only been able to take my line back to Philip b. 1765 d. 1820. I understand there is documentation that takes this family back to Thomas Noble circa 1640 d. 1708 and arrived in Talbot County Maryland circa 1674. Do either of you or anyone have anything else on this line? My family was in QA co MD at least as far back as 1770, which is when my gg-grandfather Andrew Levi KNOTTS was b. We don't know who his father was, but we suspect it was a Thomas Knotts, based on naming conventions. We also think our Immigrant might have been James KNOTT, who came to VA in 1617 abd the GEORGE. Dna testing indicates my QA co "clan" is related to the WV KNOTTS'. Anyone have any information on these KNOTT/S"? I don't know about Phillip but I know there was another family of Nobles in Talbot. Mine was in Sommerset and don't know if they connect.
