My understanding is that Indian Town was across the Pocomoke at Snow Hill. If by St. Martin's "branch" you mean St. Martin's River, The River is north of Snow Hill just below the present day DE Border between Showel and Bishopville. Not close enough to visit daily but close enough for one family to have moved a bit north to settle.
