    3. Good Morning, List-- In 1716 Benjamin Nichols--a possible ancestor of mine--sold Solomon West a parcel of Dorchester Co. land called Sandwich, bounded by another called Milland. The property was described as also being bounded by Cabin Creek; the only Cabin Creek I have found so far is the one west of modern-day Hurlock. That's a bit farther south than most other Nichol/Nichols lands in the area, most being north of Hunting Creek and west of Federalsburg. Was/is there another Cabin Creek? 2. Bob, I don't have any knowledge of another Cabin Creek, however, I live in Cabin Creek Neck which is approx. 3 miles from the Cabin Creek area in Dorchester County. I understand that in the early history of Dorchester County, that Cabin Creek was a community with a school, church, store, mill, homes, & other businesses. I have a church plate with a photo of the Cabin Creek Church. dorera@bcctv.net Regards, Doris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bob Nichol" <bnichol@iname.com> To: <LOWER-DELMARVA-ROOTS@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 31, 2009 10:42 AM Subject: [LDR] Cabin Creek [NICHOLS, WEST] > Good Morning, List-- > > In 1716 Benjamin Nichols--a possible ancestor of mine--sold Solomon West > a parcel of Dorchester Co. land called Sandwich, bounded by another > called Milland.
