    3. I am a descendant of the Deputy family and I have never heard of the railroad stop called Deputy. I have hit many brick walls in researching this family. I would be happy to share what information I have and would appreciate any that you might have. I know that some of the family migrated to Indiana and there is a town of that name in that state. My ancestor settled in Illinois and the name seems to have petered put there. There are many descendants of the Indiana clan. Would like to hear from you.
