John or Mike, I would appreciate any help. I am trying to find out how I can locate exactly where a piece of land called Carters Lott might be so I could visit with some of the Timmons family. It was sold to Wm Timmons in 1686 and is located in old Somerset and was near or in what was known as Bognernorton which I think was Snow Hill. The Land Records show a George Carter as Grantor and Wm Trimmings(Timmons) as Grantee. Later, Wm Timmons widow split it between two sons and in 1723 they sold it. I have also found some references to Bognernorton as a Quaker area. Wm and Priscilla came to Somerset in 1880 and appear to have been indentured briefly. I know someone has a copy of a map which shows the relative location of some of the early land holdings in Somerset. Again, I would appreciate any help.
