The Sussex County Genealogical Society will meet on Saturday, January17, at 10:30 a.m. in the Rehoboth Beach Public Library’s meeting room. Our special guest speaker is Esthelda Parker Selby, a well-known educator. Ms. Selby is a native of Delaware and will present a first-hand account of growing up and being educated in the segregated schools of Sussex County. Her presentation will give a perspective of early 20th century Sussex County life and the relationships between the people of the community. The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about genealogy and how history may play a part in it.
