Alan The Maryland Archives Settlers Index is somthing I use immediately for that..often online' here: http://www.msa.md.gov/msa/speccol/sc4300/sc4341/html/search.html They list 5 of them between 1653-1659..which could be the same man you would have to read the citatoons attached here is one: Parsons, John WC4:127 Film No.: SR 8264 Of St. Mary's County, transported himself, Henry Rowland, Edward Rowland, & Frances Clare by 1681 MSA SC 4341-7660 So after 1681 he likely got land for transporting these men and himself.
