Try as I may, I can't make a connection with Zachariah Carey. My 4th Great grandmother was Eleanor who served as the executor of her husband James FOOKES in June 1772. It is thought -- not proven -- that she subsequently married Samuel WILLIAMS and is (thus?) the "Elender, wife of Samuel Williams" named as a daughter in the 1783 will of Levin Carey. The Levin Carey will also names a granddaughter, Nancy Fookes, perhaps increasing the likelihood that Eleanor Fookes/Elender Williams is one and the same person and, thus, originally Eleanor Carey. Hmmmm. It you count the assumptions, this isn't much.........but I'd certainly appreciate hearing from anyone who can help clarify this. Elaine
