Walt, Just wondered if you know of a Robert West who lived in Sussex County, DE, in 1832. He and Garrett Layton signed a $200 marriage bond on 7/5/1832 for Zachariah Carey and Nancy Carpenter. In 1830 Zachariah Carey was living in Nanticoke Hundred in Sussex County. This may possibly be a 2nd marriage for him, or perhaps he had a son with the same name. The John West who married Ann Collins is likely the son of Thomas West(c1700-1761), son of Thomas West(d1708) of West's Recovery. While I can't definitively prove it yet, the William West who is brother to the Thomas of 1708, is likely my line leading down through a son William to my 4th great grandfather Kendle West. That relationship fits in with the letter which Amos West wrote to Kendle West in which he referrred to Kendle as "cousin". Amos(father Elijah) is from the Thomas West(d1708) line thru George, brother to Thomas and William. That would make him second cousin to Kendle West. Walt West
