Hi, Jackie, Good questions because right now all I can tell you is that the Smiths I am looking for came from England. One William Smith mentioned was most likely the son of Sir Thomas Smith, Govenor of Jamestown. It mentions both the Primrose and the High Hope saling from London. Of course, that doesn't mean the men who sailed were from England as many of the Irish went to England to go to America. How on earth do you figure all of this out?! In the next while I will go through all the Smith names again, and if I can or can't find anything on an Archibald Smith or any of his relatives, I will let you know.
